This position involves work in multiple facets of the electric utility industry, including renewable energy, conventional generation, wholesale power markets, transmission and distribution.
Primarily, you will be assigned to assist with multiple power-related procurements where Navigant serves as an expert advisor to Utilities, independent manager/evaluator or as an independent observer.
In addition, you will be tasked with supporting renewable energy market specific assignments, including REC market forecasting, financial modelling of new build facilities, rates & tariff incentives available to renewable generation, renewable supply chain and renewable technology research.
In this role, an enterprising individual will develop in-demand and exceptional expertise pertaining to the electric utility and renewable energy industries. In other words, this is not a job - it is a career.
Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, Operations Research, or related fields.
Demonstrated advanced proficiency in excel modelling, particularly with respect to renewable energy finance.
Renewable industry interest or expertise (Solar and/or Wind).
Experience in web development, management is a plus.
Strong conceptual, as well as quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
Work as a member of a team as well as be a self-motivator with ability to work independently
Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment to coordinate work
Frequently travels by airplane, train or car as necessary to perform work at another location
Regularly uses close visual acuity and operates computer equipment to prepare and analyze and transmit data
Generally works in an office environment
