The Patient Account Representative Lead acts as a liaison between Navigant BPM management and the client. This position provides all customer service interactions by telephone, mail and in person at both the hospital and off-site Patient Financial Services locations. Also performs any and all job related duties as assigned.

  • Provide Supervisory assistance and guidance to fellow Patient Account Representatives.

  • Data entry.

  • Document retrieval.

  • Outbound patient calling.

  • Mail return.

  • Liaison between client and Navigant Cymetrix.

  • Process and complete all business related requests and correspondence from Navigant BPM.

  • Billing and rebilling of claims to insurance companies.

  • Retrieve all correspondence from client and forward to Navigant BPM for resolution.

  • Complete all assigned projects in a timely manner.

  • Assist client in all requested tasks.

  • Communicate to Navigant BPM management areas of concern or areas of improvement.

Responsibility to Client:

  • Research and respond to all customer inquiries received by telephone, mail and personal interviews.

  • Update patient demographic information and initiate account adjustments.

  • Verify insurance eligibility and coverage, and process accordingly.

  • 1+ years as a Patient Account Representative Lead or Supervisor

  • High School Diploma and/or a minimum of 1 years’ experience with a healthcare provider or an outsourcing company, or 1 year customer service experience.

  • PC skills in a Windows environment are required. Knowledge and utilization of desktop applications to include Word and Excel is essential.

  • Ability to initiate and follow through on projects and work independently with minimal supervision required.

  • Strong conceptual, as well as quantitative and qualitative analytical skills

  • Work as a member of a team as well as be a self-motivator with ability to work independently

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment to coordinate work

  • Frequently travels by airplane, train or car as necessary to perform work at another location

  • Regularly uses close visual acuity and operates computer equipment to prepare and analyze and transmit data

  • Generally works in an office environment
